123 Summit Lane
Hendersonville, TN 37075
Kelly Clarkson’s Nashville-area home is on the market
Pop star Kelly Clarkson’s knack for picking a hit apparently extends beyond songs: Her Hendersonville estate just hit the market, and it’s listed for $8.75 million, about three times the price she put in just shy of five years ago.
It’s easy to see why she was drawn to the 20,000-square-foot home and its four-acre waterfront property — it’s tucked away in a leafy cul-de-sac, with a grand, winding-staircase entrance, an impressively sun-drenched great room and a huge salt-water pool that looks out over Old Hickory Lake.
According to the Hendersonville Standard, though, the new owners won’t just be walking in Clarkson’s footsteps, but benefiting from her taste — the home’s been renovated top to bottom, with style-forward luxury finishes you’d see in Belle Meade and West Nashville properties, that publication says.
A few standout spots inside 123 Summit Lane in Hendersonville: a uniquely curvy master suite that’s outfitted with a blend of rugged, outdoorsy textures and royalty-suitable glamor; a huge rec room with pool tables and full bar; and the totally decked-out, premiere-worthy cinema room.
Somewhat surprising note: This may be the only listing I’ve ever seen with a massive brown bear not only used as wall decor, but perched a story high.
Head here for more photos and details about Clarkson’s stunning, soon-to-be-former home. (And don’t be sad, Nashville fans who like that she’s a local — Clarkson’s apparently building a new home, and staying in the Nashville area.)
If this particularly luxury estate doesn’t suit you, here are a few others in the Nashville area that deliver a similar level of luxury and space:
625 Westview Ave
Nashville, TN 37205
$11,950,000
Having two full acres in one of the most sought-after areas in Middle Tennessee, Belle Meade, is a serious selling point, as is the interior space here: 8 beds, 9 full and 3 half baths and more than 16,000 square feet. Particular standouts here: a wine cellar that’s better-equipped than most Nashville wine shops, and courtyard with pool that looks straight from a Tuscan villa.
801 Mooreland Ln
Murfreesboro, TN 37128
$8,900,000
Out east a bit in Rutherford County, this Murfreesboro estate is absolutely massive — a 23,000-plus-square-foot home on almost 30 acres. If you’re fond of fresh air, the outdoor amenities will thrill you — plenty of high-end resorts don’t have pools this impressive. Inside, the great room is like a grand Victorian ballroom, and the study’s regal enough to host heads of state. The home has its own basketball court, indoor pool, tennis court and bowling alley, too.
242 Arrowhead Rd
Franklin, TN 37069
$5,900,000
In comparison, this Franklin home is much smaller, at a little under 7,000 square feet, but the property is massive (over 33 acres), and if upscale farm-house style is your preference, you’ll fall in love here. Throughout, you find big rough-hewn beams, brick and stone, wood cladding and reclaimed pieces, all elevated with touches of luxury. The great room is a particular standout, with two stories of warm shiplap and loads of light.
