Predators Stanley Cup Finals watch parties from Nashville to Franklin
With Monday’s win, the mighty Nashville Predators are headed back north for Thursday’s Stanley Cup Finals battle, meeting the Pens at home in Pittsburgh. Sunday, both teams come back to Nashville for Game 6 at Bridgestone Arena.
Either night, many/most Nashville fans probably won’t be inclined to stay home and root for the Preds — this season, people all over the country have gotten to see how dedicated we are. Luckily, watch-party options are plentiful all around Middle Tennessee, so we can keep the Preds Pride going from downtown to East Nashville and Franklin.
Any number of bars will have the game on, too, but below, we’ve picked a few watch options that offer something special.
Thursday Predators Watch Parties
DOWNTOWN
Even though the Preds themselves won’t be here at home, Bridgestone Arena has big things planned for Thursday, and we’re all invited. General-admission tickets to June 8’s Watch Party are $15, and along with getting to watch the game on the biggest of big screens (plus pre-game on-ice projection), you’ll get to hang with Gnash, watch intermission entertainment and more. Starts at 4 p.m., and tickets are available here.
EAST NASHVILLE
East Side club The Basement East is giving Preds fans on that side of the river the chance to avoid downtown crowds while still watching the game with a big crew, on a big screen. This one kicks off at 7 p.m., and admission is free.
BRENTWOOD
The city of Brentwood is doing it big, hosting another outdoor playoffs party at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater in Crockett Park for Game 5. Bring a blanket or low-slung chair, plus cash for on-site food trucks, and head to the park (5211 Maryland Way) starting at 5 p.m. for outdoor viewing with a crew of neighbors. More on the City of Brentwood Predators Watch Party Facebook Event page.
FRANKLIN
Why restaurant/venue Jack and Jameson’s Smokehouse might be your best bet in Franklin for a watch party: great sound, a big screen showing the game and a particularly fitting option for a mid-game snack: their Preds-gold mac-n-cheese, made with American, cheddar, smoked gouda and parmesan. (Barbecue’s good too.) The game’ll be on when the puck drops at 7, and Jack and Jameson’s is located at 509 Hillsboro Rd.
AT BONNAROO
Being out in Manchester for the Bonnaroo Music + Arts Festival doesn’t mean you have to miss the game. The fest folks are showing Thursday’s Stanley Cup Finals on a massive screen at The Which Stage, or, if you prefer a smaller crowd, the Grind barn.
Sunday in Nashville, for Game 6
When the Predators come home on Sunday for Game 6, the place to be (if you’re not a ticket-holder inside Bridgestone): the Broadway Smash Preds Party, spread out over four viewing areas downtown.
Broadway will be closed from Fourth to Seventh Avenues, and three giant screens will be up for game viewing. Music City Walk of Fame park will have large screens up showing the game too, as will Ascend Amphitheater. A few lucky wristband holders (300, to be exact) will get to watch from Bridgestone Plaza, too.
All of this is free, and there’ll be food trucks and other food/drinks around to buy. More info on the Broadway Smash Preds Party Facebook event page.
Wherever you choose to watch, it feels like all of Middle Tennessee’s pretty thoroughly on the same page: Let’s go Preds!
